Is Smart Technology making us dumb? Yes and No.
- Technology can screw up our sleep
- We are easily distracted
- We can’t seem to remember anything
- We rely on the Internet to remember everything
- And we are much more forgetful than usual
- We can’t concentrate
- We can’t find our way around with GPS
There is no such thing as automatic… The smart technology still needs human fingers to touch it to make it work.
Technology isn’t making us stupid it’s changing our mindset. The human memory is not the same as the memory in a computer: it’s through remembering that we make connections with what we know, what we feel, and this gives rise to personal knowledge. If we’re not forming rich connections in our own minds, we’re not creating knowledge.
