Most of us by now know what an Emoji is. But just in case you’ve been living under a rock or have never texted anyone with a little smiley face or tiny heart icon… an Emoji is an icon that expresses your emotions.

What are Memoji’s? Memoji is You! Created in Apple iPhone’s Messaging app. Only available on iOS 13 or higher.

How to Make a Memoji

• Open the Messages app on your iPhone or iPad.
• Tap the New Message icon at the top right of the screen.
• If you don’t see the app drawer below the message bar, tap the App Store icon to reveal the app tray.
• Select the three-headed Memoji icon.
• You will see various Animoji to choose from, but tap the Plus icon on the left-hand side to get a blank Memoji canvas.
• On the first panel, get started with attributes like Skin Tone, Freckles, Cheeks, and Beauty Spot details. Just choose what you want.
• As you continue to swipe, select from an array of hairstyles, brow styles, eye shapes and colors, head shapes and age, nose, mouth, jewelry, and more.

A Bitmoji is also a Memoji but it gets created by Snapfish’ Bitmoji app.

How to Make a Bitmoji

1. Go to App Store
2. Tap search lower right
3. Tap top > type in bitmoji
4. Tap get > tap install
5. Tap on Bitmoji app
6. Create your bitmoji or avatar
7. Create your avatar – select your hairstyle and hair color, face shape, body shape, accessories and clothes
8. Save your avatar
9. To use your avatar – tap on one of your new bitmoji’s > tap save image or select text to send your bitmoji
10. Have fun and enjoy

And an Animoji. Is an animated version of your Memoji.

Create your own Memoji

You can design your personalized Memoji—choose a skin color and freckles, hairstyle and color, facial features and headwear, earrings, glasses, and more. You can create multiple Memoji for different moods. You can even become a Giraffe!

1. In a conversation, tap, iMessage.
2. Tap on the Monkey.
3. Tap + New Memoji.
4. Choose all of your features: skin color, hair color, eye brows, eye color, shape of your head, your nose, mouth, ears, facial hair, eyewear, headwear.
5. Tap Done when finished.
6. To Create your Animoji >
7. Bring your face into view.
8. Tap the red circle and record your voice and move your head, stick out your tongue, have fun.
9. To Send > Tap the Blue Up Arrow.
